About the Spencer - Van Etten Community PDF Print E-mail

SPENCER is a beautiful, rural community located in TIOGA COUNTY, NY - part of the Finger Lakes Region. We invite you to experience all that we have to offer! We’re rich in history … our museums will transport you there!

  • We’ve partnered with our neighboring community, Van Etten, to enhance the well-being and
growth of both communities. Over the years, approximately 150 businesses have sprung
up to sustain and enhance our everyday living. Restaurants, Bed & Breakfasts, retreat
centers, and shops featuring stained glass creations, fragrant soaps and candles, ceramics,
pottery, gently-used children’s clothing, and gifts await your visit.

  • We take pride in our many community and service organizations, our churches, and our
S-VE Central School District as we reach out to touch the lives of the young, old,
    and in-between.

  • Nichols Park Pond is a “project in progress” … refurbishing the eight-acre pond and wet
land habitat to become an area for recreational and educational use.

  • You may visit Spencer in the states of Massachusetts, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa,
Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Tennessee,
Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin … but there’s none like SPENCER, NEW YORK!
